PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW
The PB&C team has a strong academic background in public international law and is knowledgeable in a wide range of areas including: state responsibility; the use of force; diplomatic protection; land and maritime boundary disputes; environmental protection; mediation and conflict resolution; international humanitarian law; international human rights law; and international criminal law.
With Martina having specialised in international human rights law with a specific focus on genocide, war crimes and transitional justice, and with Emma having focused on the human rights aspects of international maritime law, the team at PB&C is well-versed in providing legal advice to humanitarian NGOs, transitional justice consultancy, refugee and immigration advice and countering terrorist/aggressor propoganda, and advising prisoners of war/political prisoners.
Martina and Emma seek to address the urgent needs of victims of conflict, through human rights and international criminal actions, in addition to civil actions against funders/facilitators/perpetrators of aggression. Furthermore, PB&C assists in evidence collection and preservation, and in actions against those facilitating evasions of sanctions.
